CSI New York tries to apply technobabble to awe viewers with their incredible crimefighting powers. Hilarity ensues.

Any malapropisms like this always make me think of the Penny Arcade cartoon.
I have to say, though, this is almost worse. It’s one thing to create an alternate, forgiving TV/movie universe where Justin Long can “hack” satphones, or DoD computer systems consist of a giant password box, but it’s another thing entirely to create a supposedly-realistic show, reference real technologies, and blow it about as bad as you can possibly blow any technical reference.
